the numbers represent how big the turn is for example if it is 6 he has to tru hard if it is 2 not so much

It differs between co-drivers. Basically, Colin’s co-driver calls out the direction of the corner as well as the severity (how sharp) and how far away it is, eg: 6 left 200. Which means, its a long wide corner to the left to be taken in 6th gear and its 200m away (when the note is called).
Richard Burns’ preferred a much more complicated system of note calling from his codriver (Robert Reid).

I do know that the guy next to him is his navigator. but what kind of info is he actually passing through to Colin? All these numbers and terms doesn’t say anything to me.

wow. this makes nascar seem like a kiddy ride. Colin McRae died in a helicopter crash in september 2007…for the record. he didn’t die behind the wheel. Kind of ironic. Be at peace man. Your rally achievements have brought all of us Subaru fanatics closer.
