Hydrofuel To Be Marketed Next Month
PUTRAJAYA, July 18 (Bernama) — The Hydrofuel, the gadget that can save on petrol consumption by between 29 and 50 per cent, will be sold in the market next month.Hydrogen Fuel Industries (M) Sdn Bhd president Dr Halim Ali said the company’s factory in Banting will produce about 300,000 units of Hydrofuel per month.The gadget would be sold at a price of RM1,300 per unit for vehicles using carburettor and RM2,300 each for vehicles using fuel injection, he told Bernama before the launch of the Hydrofuel Taxis by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi at the Dataran Masjid Putrajaya, here Friday.He said the gadget, which complies with the Malaysian standards as well as those of Singapore, Japan, Taiwan and the European Union, had been tested and used by 100 local taxis now.Dr Halim, who is also the inventor of the Hydrofuel, said the gadget comprised a small canister to be fitted in the engine compartment and a five-litre water tank fitted in the bonnet.– BERNAMA
