販売が低迷する中で、総帥本田宗一郎氏の不服を押し切って、ホンダの若手で考え出して発売に踏み切ったクルマなんですよね。考えた若手もすごいが、若手のセンスを信じて英断した会社側もすごい。それと、これを機会にきっぱり第一線からの引退を決意した宗一郎氏もやっぱりすごい人ですね～。

少年時代、スカという音楽分野も知らないときに見て「変な外人のひょうきんなＣＭだ」と思っていたけれど、マッドネスは良い曲ばかりの集団だったのですね。この歌は日本版だけのボーナストラックでした。

The original full version of this song appears on the Madness compilation album ‘The Business’. No ‘Honda Honda Honda’ though.

My wife remembered this CM after I played the Madness ‘In The City’ track several years ago. It’s great to finally see the videos! It’s interesting how Madness were and continue to be popular amongst the Japanese.

But who can resist calling them Honda Shi*ties!!
